Riding for #SCADheart Research and Awareness
The Mountain Miracle, Ride for Life, is a long distance charity bicycle ride from Chicago, IL to Beaver Creek, Co. It will kick off on July 26th and is estimated to end on August 9, 2014. The goal of this event is to raise money for the research of Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection, also known as SCAD.
Our daughter became afflicted with this rare coronary disorder while on a family ski vacation in Beaver Creek. She died on the mountain and was brought back to life by the immediate response from the Beaver Creek Ski Patrol. The doctors don't know why this happened and we all need to find out "why". We are parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who want answers.
Please help us in this epic ride by pledging money and/or taking the ride with us. It is an amazing cause and one very, very dear to our hearts.
